Masjid Hassan of Al-Islam: the red-brick building with its white cast-stone frontispiece and metal stairs, on East Allen Avenue

Masjid Hassan of Al-Islam

A house of worship on East Allen Avenue since the 1970s, opening its doors again soon.

Welcome

A house of worship for more than a century

Masjid Hassan of Al-Islam has served Fort Worth's East Side since the mid-1970s. Its red-brick home on East Allen Avenue was raised around 1918 and has been a house of worship ever since.

In 1928 the Fort Worth architect H.D. Withers gave the building the face it still wears: a corbelled brick gable and white cast-stone ornament around the arched window.

The restoration

Help us finish the restoration

During the COVID years a severe storm let water into our century-old building, and the masjid closed for restoration. Members and supporters have done the work since, often with their own hands.

Now we are opening our doors again soon. Your gift pays for the last repairs and materials, so the masjid can welcome everyone back.

Builders, roofers, electricians and painters are welcome too: tell us how you can help.
